Living room decor: How to get that blush sofa you really want.
Last winter, while researching living room furniture for The Barn of Three Oaks- I realized that the pieces I had in mind were the exact items we currently had at my personal residence. We were moving things around and I decided to move our beloved Gus*Modern sofa and Restoration Hardware dining table to the Barn. This left us *temporarily* without furniture.
You’d think this would be an easy fix, however interior designers know just how many options are out there. Plus, I have a partner that has an opinion that I had to consider--very annoying. My method for getting what I really want is this: wear him down. Basically, I waited long enough that finally I heard those exciting words “I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU GET JUST BUY SOME FURNITURE IN HERE!”
Ding! Cue the blush pink sofa that I had been trying to get in several client projects now can come home to ME. I worked with Interior Define to design a custom, reasonably priced, tailor made, performance velvet Caitlin sofa with brass legs. She’s a beaut and movie nights have never felt so good.
